1611 - King James Bible-England
 
1611 - Plantation of Ulster-------------------------------First settlements
 
1617 - John Calvin – works published
 
1637 - Presbyterian Scots revolt, Edinburgh center of politics
 
1641 - Irish attack Ulster Plantations, 5000 settlers killed outright- some estimates 20000- 60000 killed during war. Have seen these figures to exceed 200,00 to ½ million-Trinity College Records-Ireland and Londonderry when the Irish population is only ½ million for the whole period (believe it referred-Dr. Maude Glasgow 1936)
 
1648 - Scottish Army crushed by Cromwell at Battle of Preston
 
1648 - Scottish Covenanters under Argyle offer to join Charles II if he joins them
 
1651 - Cromwell beats Charles II Scottish Army, lowland Scots
 
1649 - Cromwell crushes Irish rebellion
 
1653-1658 - Cromwell Lord Protector of England
 

1679 - Rise of the Covenanters revolt crushed
– Duke of York sent to Govern Scotland
– his military agent was John Graham of Claverhouse “who at first was occupied mainly against the fanatical extremists in southwest, gained the name of “bloody Clavers”.”
– Graham of Claverhouse
– was Viscount Dundee, the leader of the Highlanders at Killiekrankie

 
1686 - In Co Tyrone, James McCord wrote and his father John and other brothers, came to County Tyrone near Stewartstown. This is also recorded in “Genealogical History of the Milesian Families of Ireland, compiled and edited by B. W. DeCOURCY
 
1686-1688 - several McCords on land in County Tyrone-Mary McCord’s Mists of times land records.
 
1688-1689 - 105-Day Siege of Londonderry Ireland where Protestant Scots with stood all of Europe, Jacobites and Irish Catholic Armies
 
1688 - Siege of Londonderry Ulster, Killiekrankie Scotland, Wm of Orange’s forces, personally went to Ireland and took charge and beat the combined Jacobites-Irish forces at Boyne finally ending in victory in 1693.
 
1689 - Battle of Boyne
 
1700 - World population est. at 625 million
 
1715 - Age of Enlightenment begins in Europe.
 
1717 - London’s 4 Secret Societies announce much to the Chagrin of Mason as elsewhere, Shock the world with the announcement that they were members of the Great Society if free Masons.
 
1718-1719 - Begins the migration of Ulster Scots and other Protestants to Pennsylvania and New York Freemason are found in the Vanguard of Ulster Scot migration and later Revolutionary War. Highly organized and dedicated. Led by George Washington and Jefferson and a host of other Masons and ably assisted by Masons elsewhere in the world?
 
1799 - . James wrote he was 4 and that he and father John both born in Ayrshire where James was residing,
